April - May has been an eventful time. We are starting to see changes around Calvary. Inside and out. I want to extend my thanks to everyone in and outside of all ministry areas who have been working so well to meet the needs or Calvary and our community. The Slavik school has left and with it a lonely quiteness decended on Calvary. We are making plans to change that. Pastor Marty has a wonderful vision he will soon be sharing with us all. Our search for church secretary is continuing. Gloria DeRoo and Cindy Anderson have taken on the responsibility of finding someone and need our prayers and support. The hole in the wall is growing and a handicap lift will soon be filling the space. We're looking at another parade for Memorial day and looking out for Pink Flamingos on our lawns! Our Stewardship and Facilities committies are getting started and I hear that our Fund Raising team is also gearing up..... Looks like a busy summer ahead. The Rio Linda, Natomas, Elverta area is growing quickly and will be for sometime. Have you noticed our services have been growing in number, lately? We have to be ready to meet the needs of this growth. It looks like we are well on our way. We have a new Council Secretary to appoint, this month. We will be welcoming Arlene Kozub to this leadership and storytelling position. Arlene and Josh Burns will be representing Calvary as delegates and will have been to the Synod Assembly in Reno by the time we have our meeting. A lot of interesting debate to be reported on, this year. We end May with a parade and begin June with a golf tournament. Two great spring fellowship activities. I look forward to an exciting month ahead.
