On Sunday, April 25, we hosted a party for the Slavic School to celebrate their time with us. What a joyous, fun-filled, faith sharing day it was for all! The students and teachers provided us with a short program at the end of our Worship service. They sang songs in English and in their native tongue and recited Bible passages. Our congregation was presented a framed photograph of the school signed by each teacher and student. The Spirit moved us all that day, some to the point of tears. After the service we all enjoyed a taco buffet and indulged in delicious desserts. Each child was given a goody bag filled with treats and small toys. The Slavic parents and teachers treated us with their singing too. Wow! Talk about Christian community where two groups of believers with different backgrounds can come together to share in food, fun, and faith. I can’t begin to express how awesome it was and God’s presence was everywhere and in everyone. I hope you were there to experience the power of Jesus’ love.
I want to thank everyone who participated that day. To the people who provided food, setup our gathering place, served food, cleaned up, pitched in as and when needed, and to all who attended you have my deepest appreciation. God was truly glorified by your works. You all made that day very special for each and everyone who was there.
Thank you again.
Live it and Give it!
